The Caldwell Factory is a landmark wedding venue located in the West Chelsea Historic District in New York City. This industrial gem located near the High Line, presenting an open and unobstructed space for you and 500 of your friends and family to enjoy your wedding event. The building is host to the Theatre as well as the Studio. Light floods into both rooms via the large arched windows or the expansive skylights. Lofted ceilings promote an airy feel throughout and brick walls deliver a city-chic ambiance that you and your guests are sure to enjoy.
Facilities and Capacity
The Caldwell Factory has two dressing rooms that have a capacity of 12 individuals. Each of these rooms contains full makeup mirrors as well as countertop lighting. Bathrooms are accessible, allowing clients to make use of showers as needed. There is space to hang costumes, or the room may be used as a catering storage area. Dimmable lights hang from the ceilings throughout the main event space, making the room as moody as the couple desires. Each light is traced back to a theatrical lighting console. Three chandeliers also adorn the ceilings, offering an elegant entrance space that all can admire as they walk through the door. Behind the Theatre, and backstage, the hallway is concrete. Painters tape may be applied to the floor, however, decals or logos may not. The Theatre walls range from displaying stucco to brick.
Services Offered
The Caldwell Factory allows outside catering services on the property. This way, couples are able to personalize their meal as they see fit. Tables and chairs are available as rental services, and there are areas which may suit as prep stations for caterers. Should alcohol be served at the wedding event, this venue requires that a temporary liquor license is held by either the client or the caterer. Reasonable cleaning and trash removal services are included in the site fee, meaning that the betrothed couple is able to rest easy and enjoy their night knowing that the cleanup is taken care of as they celebrate.
