Fatima Akbar Rizvi (FAR) is a Certified Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist. She was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and then relocated to New Jersey in 2014, where she currently resides. In addition to North America, she spent 5 years of her childhood in Pakistan as well. As a result of her global voyage, Fatima has a profound knowledge of diverse cultures and traditions which has been an asset in her bridal beauty business.
Fatima received her Bachelor€™s education from The University of British Columbia, Canada. Despite her pursuit of a career in healthcare, Fatima realized her true path lies in the hands of a “non conventional one”- Beauty Artistry. Makeup and Hair has been an integral part of her life since the age of 13. Growing up in a household of females, her interest became a hobby, which turned into a talent, that has now manifested into a career. She had her first bride at the young age of 22! Soon thereafter, she received her Makeup Certification from the “School of Makeup Effects” (SOME). Fatima’s dream has been to own a full service beauty business, which is now a reality called BEAUT by FAR.
Fatima specializes in Bridal Hair and Makeup and has rendered services to brides with various ethnic backgrounds including, Indian, Pakistani, , Italian, Filipino, Iranian, African-American, and Caucasian to name a few. She strives to work with diversified skin tones and undertones. In addition, Fatima also expands her work to photo shoots, editorials, TV, film and other non-bridal inquires. If Fatima had to describe BEAUT By FAR’s motto, she would say “Beauty doesn’t define you, it refines you.” Her vision is to provide all clients with beauty that is true to oneself and not a new set of skin, and bring out the best of each individual through her art.
