Nearly 8 years ago, on this very property, dreams took root which transformed 15 acres and the lives of two individuals and their families.
Don and I were introduced by two sisters. Both of whom thought our love of horses would be a great connection. Turns out they were right. I was immediately drawn to this Renaissance man with big dreams about how horses could help humans in countless ways. Our weekend trail rides blossomed into friendship, love, and marriage.
As a gardener I could envision roses, lilies, rambling beds where an old horse trailer and dog pen once stood. Each weekend Don and I would till up one spot then another until this wonderful garden of ours was born.
We married in the Garden at Cowboy Campout two years ago. In a magical ceremony surrounded by friends and family we shared vows that were eerily almost identical. And, they both centered on the friendship and love deeply rooted in this garden and land.
We hope to share this garden with many other couples who love nature and have a desire to create their own romantic ceremony sculpted by imagination and a gorgeous Texas country side.
