Big Sky Barn, tucked away between the West Shores of Lake Conroe and the Pines of Sam Houston National Forest, is set on 17 acres of beautiful Texas greenery. With a chapel and a main event space for receptions, this rustic venue is the definition of ?country chic.?Facilities and CapacityBig Sky Barn has two beautiful venues, The Grand Barn and The Chapel Barn, both of which are indoor, climate controlled spaces. The Grand Barn is 6,400 square feet and can comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests which includes dance floor, bar, and food and beverage set up. The entire building is made of large reclaimed timber beams, some of which weigh over half a ton each. The different wood boards, including oak, hemlock, and pine, were sourced from old buildings, barns, factories, and homes. The wood boards were reclaimed and then put up on the walls of this rustic wedding venue. The space also features steel windows that are over 112 years old. The windows were beautiful repurposed from a 1903 local steel building, and is the same tin that makes up the ceiling of the building. The breathtaking three and a half story double sided stone fireplace is the most eye catching aspect of the room by far. Along with these elements, The Grand Barn also comes with restrooms, a dedicated caterer?s kitchen, and a 1,200 square foot covered deck. For your ceremony, you can enjoy the 3,250 square foot Chapel Barn. The walls of this building are made of oak wood planks that were sawn, air dried, and hand painted specifically for this chapel. The wood planks have a vintage white wash giving the building an antique feel. The 26 inch tall wall of reclaimed antique windows, which are framed with 12 inch oak beams, act as the perfect rustic background for your wedding ceremony. These 1903 windows were originally a part of an oil and steel pump house in Montgomery, Texas and the character of each window really shines through in this space. The pews in the chapel are also reclaimed, originally handcarved from 1884 to 1889 to be a part of a now abandoned church in West Virginia. The chapel also contains the groom?s quarters and bridal suite. Big Sky Barn is truly filled with vintage charm and is the perfect venue for those seeking antique elegance.
