Chateau Prudhomme is a hotel wedding and event venue in New Orleans, Louisiana. They were established in 1912 and formerly owned by the Waltons of Walmart and Papa Jack Laine, one of the founding fathers of jazz. The Chateau is named for its most notable former owner, celebrity Chef, Paul Prudhomme. He made the property his home and planted fruit trees and herb gardens that are still thriving and available for guests to pick from.
Facilities and Capacity
Chateau Prudhomme has eight buildings with the ability to sleep 60 guests. Each unit is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and luxurious baths. The Blue House is the largest with seven bedrooms and three baths. Next is the Inner Townhouse and Street Townhouse with five bedrooms and three baths. The Test Kitchen and The Lattice House both have five bedrooms and two baths. The smallest space is The Purple House with four bedrooms and two baths.
On the grounds is a heated pool, jacuzzi, two courtyards and a large deck surrounded by colorful flowers. Events can be hosted in either courtyard or the deck. The first courtyard is 1,300 square feet and can accommodate 125 guests. The second courtyard is 1,100 square feet and can accommodate 100 guests. The deck is 750 square feet and can accommodate 75 guests.

Their basic ceremony and reception package includes everything you need for your special night including rental of one courtyard for four hours, seating for 100 guests and staff to assist before, during and after your event. Their Platinum package includes a champagne toast, event planning services, menu, 3D renderings of your layout, staffing, seating for 150 guests, decor, access to the entire property including both courtyards and the deck. Their services include event planning, set up, clean up, accommodations, bridal suite and catering and bar services. Their talented and experienced event planners work with you to provide design and planning assistance. They guide you through each decision and bring all the details together for a flawless wedding day.
