Thank you for considering to hold your Wedding at Freedom Run Winery located on the Niagara Wine Trail, in Lockport, NY, just 30 minutes from Buffalo International Airport and the Canadian border, at 5138 Lower Mountain Road, Lockport NY 14094. Words, and even photos do not convey the beauty of the authentic Winery and Barn Experience that we offer.
We are a Boutique Winery, with 5 vineyards planted with vinifera grapes on 27 acres of of our 130+ acre land holding, on the bench of the Niagara Escarpment, which includes planted fields of soybeans and corn, as well as 1000 tree apple orchard, and manyacres of wheat, soya beans, corn and sunflowers.
Our motto is that we ‘View Wine as Art’, and in keeping with our impeccable reputation we also consider our facility as being of the highest standards, and are very versatile for customization of space for YourSpecialDay@FreedomRunWinery.com.
We are known for our Rustic Barn which is an original timber framed post-and-beam dry goods barn, built in 1826 with stone from the Erie Canal. This structure has been preserved, yet modernized with ladies and gents bathrooms a large deck and is handicap accessible. There is a raised platform with a cut glass chandelier, so that the Bride & Groom and their Bridal Party can see and be seen. This is a perfect place to hold a wedding ceremony, have a sit down, buffet or family style dinner, and it even converts to a ?night club? with the doors wide open for dancing under the stars.
The Vineyard Manor House was also built in 1826 and has been fully restored to its original grandeur, with 4 Bedrooms that are available for overnight stays through AirBnb. This the perfect place to stay when holding a Wedding at Freedom Run Winery.
The Tasting Room of our 13,000 square foot Winery offers a contemporary feel, with a floating maple ceiling, stone accenting the walls, and bamboo flooring. A pair of granite topped bars are fronted with colorful ‘blown glass’ disks, and tall hand crafted barrel tables & chairs, along with elegant chocolate leather sofas, set the stage for this elegant space. There is a covered patio overlooking the vineyards and adjoining lawn areas, with bistro tables & chairs that can be incorporated into this venue.
The Barrel Room is visible from the Tasting Room through a floor to ceiling, wall to wall panel of glass, with double glass doors that lead into a huge double height space hung with original art, and lined with stainless steel wine tanks and oak barrels, which can be back lit with subtle mood lighting. These two Venues combined well, with Cocktail Hour in the Tasting Room, followed by Dinner in the Barrel Room, and Dancing back in the Tasting Room, spilling out onto the covered patio, where a Cigar Station can be set up, with after dinner drinks, a fire pit, and smores!
The Vineyards are very popular any time of the year, with Brides and Grooms choosing to have an authentic Winery Experience, with an open air ceremony overlooking the vineyards, weather permitting. The vineyards have their own beauty in every season, as do the 1000 tree apple orchard, which is even more magnificent when in full bloom in the Spring. There are acres of sunflowers which are in full bloom in the Autumn, and in the Winter, the stark black & white back drop of the landscape covered with a blanket of snow, signifies ?New Beginnings?.
To top it all off, we have on-site catering provided by Ava’s Table at the Vineyard, and their motto is Fresh – Innovative – Personal, and that is exactly what you get. They really listen to what kind of food you enjoy, and will strive to create a menu tailored to your desires…from a casual, yet elegant down home BBQ with a Family Style vibe, to New York chic, and will work with you to custom design a perfect food tasting. Ask about Bridal Showers and Rehearsal Dinners as well.

Our prices include a Venue and a Bar Package that can be customized to your specifications, and include round tables and white folding chairs, bar(s), bartender(s), and bar back staff as needed to accommodate your guest count. We will work with you to make your Special Day affordable, over the top, or just right, depending on what is important to you and your family.
