We would like to introduce you our brand new, unique venue; The Speedway Legacy Inn & Events is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our Inn is well known for being one of the most affordable and flexible Inns in all of Indianapolis. We are known for hosting smaller, imtimate settings and events: weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, bridal showers, etc. and we can house all of your out of town guests or your bridal party. Our inn is “a one stop shop”, you can have everything all under one roof. You can reserve your smaller events indoors and larger events outdoors. We service all demoninations, faiths and other preferences.
On site accomodations make your event very special
In adddition, our upstairs rooms can offer overnight accomodations with our bed and breakfast facility. We can sleep 7 rooms of either your out of town guests, close family members or your bridal party for the night. Additional accomodations are available for your International guests that might be staying in the US longer. You, your friends and family can awake with choice of a continental or full breakfast, unlimited coffee and beverages Our attic “hideaway” is located on the third floor of the Inn; it is perfect for your bachlorette party with separate bathroom and dressing room. Our romantic honeymoon suite is complete with attached parlor, jacuzzi, private entrance, four poster bed, electric fireplace and victorian furnishings. You can return here every year on your anniversary and get the very same room you initially reserved for your wedding. Our attached parlor is perfect for your brides to dress for the wedding, do hair and make up.
History:
Our historic venue is more than 6,000 square feet and is located in the heart of Speedway, less than one mile from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our Inn is more than 120 years old and has a total of 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The Inn was remodeled in 2014 and now contains 3 staff bedrooms (lower level), 7 guest bedrooms and 7 guest bathrooms (second and third floor). The Inn is decorated in Victorian colors of pink and beige; antique furnishings adorn the Inn in various colors. The Inn sits on one acre of land; and at one time was the largest peice of property located in Speedway; many years ago, the various plots of land were sold off to independent home owners. And now, the lovely neighbors of Speedway compliment the surrounding areas of this quaint, unique Inn. As of 3/1/2014, we have just opened up reservations for the summer events of 2014.
Capacity:
Our Inn has a beautiful entryway for greeting your guests, and a front party area known as the “gathering room”. In the gathering room is a front living room for guests to mingle, a dining room with antique table, chairs and buffet table, full access to a kitchen and an additional smaller half kitchen with a second fridge and coffee area. A back party room known as, the “great room” is perfect for small gatherings (35 or less). Both party areas, can be joined together with access to a full kitchen that is perfect to display your guests food and a smaller coffee / snack area. Our inside facilities are more for smaller, intimate settings with an indoor max of 75 people seated and 100 max if mingling or with cocktail tables.
Our outdoor party area is not yet completed but,we hope to have it completed soon. The outdoor area will contain an area for a band, dance floor and outdoor mingling. Our front lawn is perfect for outdoor weddings and events and larger gatherings; you may choose covered or uncovered. If choosing an outdoor event,our indoor areas may be used for older people who want to get out of the heat and relax in a very comfortable atmosphere. Our outdoor party area can be combined with our indoor area for a max of 150 people. Our max outdoor capacity is 250 and that requires valet parking off site. We are very limited to onsite parking spots. If you are having a big group more than 250 people, please look for other venues to accomodate groups of this size, we specialize in smaller gatherings.
Our flexibility
We are known for being one of the most flexible inn in all of Indianapolis and the reason is simple. We welcome all outside vendors; you are allowed to bring in any vendor of your choice. You can pick your own caterer, photographer, wedding planner, etc. We have our own small group of preferred vendors; you can either choose one of them or you can mix and match some of them with your own vendors. We have preferred caterers, wedding officiants, wedding & event planners, photographers, etc. that we can refer you to. You can hire your own planner, plan everything yourself or we will assist you to find vendors for all of your desired services at no additional charge.
You can choose our Inn for one or all of your events. You can mix and match which events you want to have here. You may choose to have your very personal rehearsal dinner here, get married in the chapel of your choice and return here for your reception and overnight accomodations. We would be honored to host one or all of your events you.
