    Nirmala’s Farmstead is a historic centuries-old farm-style wedding venue located in Highland, New York. This unique destination is the home of Nirmala’s Farmstead Foundation, a nonprofit that was spearheaded by Nirmala. This foundation seeks to empower, educate, and cultivate future generations, teaching them about ancient wisdom and the complexities of modern living. The farm is flanked by pastoral lands of the Hudson Valley and encourages engagement with art, wellness, and food. Here, couples and their guests will be able to experience a feeling of togetherness that is fostered on the farmland, making for a memorable occasion held within a beautiful and open landscape.

    Facilities and Capacity
    Nirmala’s Farmstead is pleased to host couples for their wedding event. Couples are able to have a gathering on the land during whatever season suits their theme and occasion. The farm is home to a large red barn that is surrounded by lush lands where a reception tent may be erected. Indoor spaces are also available for more intimate occasions and furniture may be brought outdoors to bring the comforts of home into the natural environment. Various international and intricate designs are incorporated throughout the property, adding to the bespoke charm of any event.

    Nirmala’s Farmstead offers couples delightful and fun opportunities to experience the on-site shop, barn dinners, Ayurveda workshops, and boutique cooking schools. Family-style meals may be held in the dining area and the team at Nirmala’s Farmstead is pleased to help couples plan their special event.

    Location
    Nirmala’s Farmstead is only a mile and a half from public transportation that goes to New York City, taking about 75 minutes to arrive at NYC Port Authority. They are also within 500 feet of the rail-trail towards the Walk-Way Over the Hudson. Should couples and their guests wish to stay overnight, there are sleeping accommodations within a mile and a half of the venue. The closest city center is Poughkeepsie, New York, just off of Highway 44.
