History
First established in 1987 by founder Kay Rosaire, Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary officially adopted a non-profit model in 2005. After that, it became a rescuing initiative for animals from all walks of life in need of permanent, loving and supportive homes. This organization?s mission spans the lifetimes of their animals which can extend for more than 20 years.
