We strive to provide a venue with almost everything a bride and groom need for a wedding and reception all-in-one inclusive price. Included are hand-made cypress farm tables, 2 sets of chairs (white garden chairs for the wedding and fruitwood Chiavari chairs for the reception), 3 bars, lighting, dance floor, arbor, 36 chandeliers, caf lights, French antiques, a rain back-up plan to eliminate tent rentals, golf cart shuttle for handicapped guests upon request, large bridal suite, two private groomsmen areas, and gorgeous ceremony and reception areas. Basically, the only other things needed are a caterer, cake, florist, alcohol and bartender, and a photographer.
The wedding party has the use of the entire 22-acre property for the rehearsal the day before and up to 10 hours on the wedding day for fun with your favorite people. At no charge, Live Oak couples may bring their photographer out to the plantation between the booking date and the wedding day for a photo session.
Our huge, climate controlled 60’x100′ Cotton House reception hall overlooking the grand lawn through HUGE windows accommodates up to 180 seated guests. It is finished in tasteful neutrals & whites to compliment every dcor. With soaring 18-ft. ceilings, large columns, chandeliers, antiques, fans, & handsome architectural details, it boasts a covered outdoor veranda and bars overlooking the lake. Besides being a beautiful hall for receptions, it is also the perfect rain back-up plan. Your guests will be amazed by the commanding statement it makes with the magnificent patina on aged brick walls enhanced by special up-lighting that emphasis the architectural details.
To ease all worries, Live Oak offers the optional Live Oak Plantation?s Full-Service Wedding Production Package for $650.00. It includes 1-Wedding Intake Planner; 1 Day-of Coordinator, 1-Event Manager; 3- Custodians 1) 1-Wedding Intake Planner shall: schedule a planning meeting to plan timeline, ceremony & inventory set-up, recommend vendors, create timeline, ceremony plan and furniture layout, assign a Day-of Coordinator. 2) 1-Day-of Coordinator shall: coordinate and direct rehearsal & wedding; be present to facilitate wedding activities during entire Event Day, timeline management, transport bridesmaids to/from vehicles via golf cart shuttle, transport couple & photographers on golf cart for photos; 3.) 1-Event Manager shall: interface with vendors, provide direction during set-up; monitor & troubleshoot event, manage grounds & buildings, greet groom/groomsmen at arrival. 4). 2- Custodians shall monitor trash, spills, provide housekeeping as event progresses, and ensure catering staff is on-task and tables are bussed. 5). 1-Cleaning service shall clean bridal suite after ladies are dressed. NOTE: Brides who have an outside Coordinator may remove the Day-of Coordinator to reduce the package price to $500.00.
Laura Munro owns the in-house decorating and rental business, Petal & Twig, a rental decor business exclusive to Live Oak Plantation. She provides the option of being hired to assist with advice and/or set-up and break down of her optional rental dcor, including tabletop decor, colored linens, lanterns, candles, signs, eucalyptus garlands, ferns, etc. at very competitive prices.
