Built in 1944, the American Finnish Club lends itself to a unique, historic backdrop for your special event. And is there ever so much room. Nowhere else in Palm Beach County will you find such a unique location with the capacity and parking to host a huge event. Let me take you on a descriptive tour:
The venue is located on 8 acres. Those many acres allow for hundreds of vehicles to be parked at your event. No more trouble determining where guests will have to park and walk. Do you want to involve other vendors at your event? No problem allowing them to be able to park at the event and serve your guests.
The front of the club has reserved handicapped parking up front and wheelchair accessibility into the single story hand built building.
A quaint lobby greets the guests and then one enters the dining room. The dining room is included in your rental of the Great Hall. There are counter tops that could be used for serving, but many caterers just prefer to use some of our rectangular tables to hold their food and drink in the dining room.
An arched entrance opens up from the dining room into the Great Hall. Across the expansive wooden floor, is a raised stage. We have been granted an occupancy of 800 (which is hard to find anywhere in PBC). We have never reached that number, but have seen 250-275 settings at large round and large rectangular tables filling the hall. That’s seated at tables, imagine without tables, just seated in chairs, the hundreds of people you could fill into the place.
The raised stage is ample for multiple band members or use it for presentations if no band is playing. Two hidden staircases going up to the stage allow for persons to easily access the stage without interfering with each other.
Did we mention the tables and chairs? Whatever we have is included in the rental price. We don’t have an exact count, but for now, it is approximately 20 large round tables, 20 large rectangular tables, and chairs to line them. This alone could save you hundreds of dollars.
One might think that because we mentioned 8 acres, that the venue is located in the country. It is not. In fact, it is just minutes from downtown Lake Worth, central to PBC. Easily accessible heading west on 6th Avenue, just off of I95, and east of Military Trail, it is an effortless short distance. Google Maps accurately depicts the location and our website shows other pictures.
