Mehndikälogie was created in 2012 by Dhara Suvarnakar €“ a passionate graphic designer, lover of art, culture and fashion, and a professional henna artist & makeup artist. Although an Indian American, Dhara was always closely tied to her cultural roots and she loved the art of henna since she was a little girl. Dhara graduated from Parsons the New School for Design with a Bachelors degree in Strategic Design & Management. While studying at Parsons, she decided to turn her henna hobby into a career by taking a 4-day henna course with the world-renown henna artist Ash Kumar from London. Since then, Dhara has been beautifying the hands and feet of many brides and their guests. Because each bride is unique, she consults with each bride beforehand to ensure that every bride gets her own personalized henna to make her special day as perfect as can be. Her precision to detail resonates in every aspect of her artistry.
