The Colvin House History
The Colvin House was designed by architect George Maher, who was a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright. He used his signature style of Rhythym-Motif Theory on the mansion, utilizing triangles and tulips as motifs to create unique architectural elements. This mansion exudes charm and character while still boasting original details. The architecture outlines an ideal location for any of your wedding events, from your ceremony, reception, or elopement, to your bridal shower, engagement party, and rehearsal dinner. There are indoor and outdoor options that provide scenic views of Chicago?s Northside lakefront. The mansion is across the street from Lake Michigan, which can serve as a beautiful backdrop to any photo or wedding ceremony.
