Mellowood Vineyard is a rustic winery wedding venue located in Somerset, California. This family-owned-and-operated winery offers an idyllic location to host an outdoor DIY wedding celebration, surrounded by rolling vineyards, abundant nature, and fine wine. One an old mining site by the same name of Mellowood, this property now provides 25 acres of woodland and vineyards to hold the wedding of your dreams.
We can only host weddings of 75 or less, due to parking and our onsite bathroom capacity.
Facilities and Capacity
Mellowood Vineyard offers a variety of areas on the property to host your wedding event. Couples can choose to hold their ceremony in the shade of an ancient oak tree with a vineyard vista providing the perfect natural backdrop. This 9-acre rolling vineyard is nestled in the Sierra Foothills giving breath-taking views for your guests as they witness your wedding vows.
Guests can enjoy wine tasting and appetizers in the Blue Barn while the newlyweds make use of the stunning surroundings which provide endless wedding photography opportunities.
For wedding receptions, couples can gather their guests the long dining tables supplied by the venue and celebrate under the stars, with a built-in firepit nearby to keep your guests warm. Watch the beautiful sunset as it dips below the surrounding hills, giving a fairytale feel to your special day. Use of the estate house on the property for one night is included in the venue rental, giving you and your wedding party a comfortable and convenient place to prepare for your day in style. The venue provides ample parking on site and is wheelchair accessible. A shuttle and valet service can also be provided if required.
Services Offered
Mellowood Vineyard believes that your wedding should reflect your individual tastes, which is why they are happy to give couples the freedom to choose the vendors they would prefer to work with, as long as Mellowood wine is consumed on the day. Treat your guests to a wine-tasting experience on site in the Wine Tasting Room, supplying guests with a sample of some of the small-production wines made on the property.
