Originally founded in 1885 by Vittorio Sattui after emigrating from Genoa, Italy, the venue was closed for nearly 100 years after being forced to shut down during the Prohibition-era. In 1976, the venue was reopened by Vittorio?s great grandson, Dario, who had a dream of resurrecting the family business the Napa Valley area.
