The Mitten Building is a wedding venue located in Redlands, California. Completed in 1890, the building was originally used as a packing house and later as a facility for the manufacture of plastic lettering. It was saved from demolition in the late 1990s and reinvigorated with fresh purpose. Today, the place abounds with exuberant energy. Gone are the dusty whiskers of yesteryear. They have been succeeded by a look that is thoroughly contemporary in its sensibilities. You and your guests are invited to help write the next chapter of the building?s history.
Facilities and Capacity
The Mitten Building?s Main Room is a truly impressive facility. Able to seat up to 500 guests at as many as 60 tables, this space manages to make even a grand occasion feel like a cozy, intimate gathering. The walls are made of bricks of red and white and brown. A row of high, rectangular windows ranges across one side of the room. Red piping and ceiling beams span the length and breadth of the room. These serve to reduce the height of the space and make it feel cozy without seeming cramped. Items of decor can be hung from the ceiling beams to add that extra touch of style. The Summerbell Room is of a similar aspect, though it also includes a patio area and complimentary uplighting. The Summerbell Room can accommodate up to 230 guests.
