Overlook Hall is a full-service, historic wedding venue located in Avalon, California. The building, originally built in 1929, was designed to resemble an Italian chapel and served for many years as a community church. Since being restored in 2010, the venue has become one of the prettiest hillside wedding spaces in Avalon, with an outside deck facing the Pacific Ocean. Not only can this historic venue host wedding ceremonies and receptions but any other wedding-related events, such as the rehearsal dinner, engagement party, bridal shower, or elopement.Facilities and CapacityOverlook Hall accommodates up to 120 guests for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The upstairs sanctuary boasts 1,200 square feet of flexible open space that can be transformed to fit your wedding. The room has dark wood beams throughout the vaulted ceiling, which adds a touch of charm to the space. Other features include the original Douglas fir flooring and spacious windows that let in lots of natural light. Other features include a raised stage for the wedding entertainment, restrooms, and wall heaters for convenience. You have the option to use the space for your ceremony or reception. You and your guests many step outside to the large deck, which offers picturesque views of the Pacific. There are also a variety of outdoor spaces at the venue to hold your ceremony. The downstairs at Overlook Hall used to be a Sunday school classroom and today serves as a private area for you and your wedding party to relax and get ready for the wedding.
