History The hotel was built in 1886. It opened in 1904 and was owned by George C. Boldt, also known as the ?Father of the Modern American Hotel.? The establishment closed in 1976 but was brought back to life with multi-million dollar renovations in 1979 and 1986. The historic hotel has been hosting weddings for 115 years.
