History
Greenacres Art Center originally began life as property owned by the Green family, before almost 47 acres were purchased by Louis and Louise Nippert in 1949. For almost 40 years, they steadily added plots of land until they started the Greenacres Foundation which was designed to preserve the land and act as a place for education and field trips.
