Tug Hill Vineyards is a 40-acre Estate Winery and Distillery that overlooks the Black River Valley, it’s located outside the sleepy town of Lowville, NY. Easy access via NY State Route 12, 30 minutes off Interstate 81. 30 minutes away from the city of Watertown, NY. Specializing in premium wines and spirits made with estate-grown French-American hybrid grapes.
The Vineyard Estate provides a perfect mix of romance, serenity, and relaxation. Many memorable cocktail hours have been held in the intimate atmosphere of the patio and gardens. The outdoor bar, located under a vine-covered pergola, is a favorite of many wedding guests. An expansive lawn allows the fully realized view of the Black River Valley and the Adirondack Mountains. The Banquet Hall sits prominently on the hillside estate, this hand-hewed, cathedral height, timber frame structure can seat 160 guests utilizing the porch, interior balcony, and main dining floor. It includes a kitchen, bathrooms, tasting cellar, and bar. The Tug Hill breeze (utilized by 200+ windmills) will keep your guests cool. The Banquet Hall can be air-conditioned in high-heat situations.
Most commonly hosting Friday and Saturday Weddings which include an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, and a reception in our hall. Our beverage packages can be customized to your needs. We can offer not only our award-winning wine but also champagne by the case or glass, beer by the keg or bottle, and/or a full liquor bar or signature drinks. Beverage attendant(s) provided. Tug Hill Vineyards can offer the use of an arbor for your ceremony, and seasonal flower arrangements for the tables in the hall. If needed, 50 ceremony chairs and table linens are available to rent. Approved outside caterers are welcome to use the kitchen and its dinnerware, silverware, and glassware.
Catering is an option, the Tug Hill Vineyards kitchen offers a variety of menus, at multiple price points to fit your catering and event needs. Menus can be provided upon request. If your event requires an outside caterer, we will happily provide you with a list of approved quality caterers with whom we partner with. Our catering style and service is geared toward informal stations or buffets. An outside caterer is recommended for events that require a seated dinner service.
