For a buffet event with a dance floor, Barnett On Washington can accommodate 160 guests. Without a dance floor, the space can accommodate 200 seated guests. For cocktail style mixers, there?s adequate space for 335 guests. There is also an outdoor patio area.     HistoryThis historic venue began as a space housing Central States Life Insurance Company in 1921. Its style is unique and stylish, as it was designed by St. Louis architect Tom P. Barnett and constructed in the Mission Revival style. Over the years, the building had various functions, housing insurance companies, a publishing firm, art and music schools and a nightclub. The building has been restored to its original elegance and grandeur and is now used for events, offices, meetings, weddings and other group gatherings.
