History
The GMRENCEN project initially came to life in 1971, with a competition held to come up with a suitable name for the property. The first tower officially opened in 1976 after three years of building. Construction continued throughout the 70s and 80s to produce several more adjoining skyscrapers, including a hotel. However, the GMRENCEN really became the astonishing piece of architecture it is today after the completion of renovations by General Motors in 2004.
