The Inn at Irwin Gardens is a wedding and event venue in Columbus, Indiana. The Inn is an Edwardian mansion built by a family of millionaires. It retains much of the original features such as furniture, light fixtures, decorations and more. Joseph Irwin and his family moved into the new home in 1864 and it was enlarged and redesigned several times to accommodate a growing family and reflect Joseph?s increasing wealth. The final remodel was done in 1910 by architect Henry Phillips and erased the remaining details of the original house and replaced with an Edwardian style. The Italianate Gardens were completed in 1913 and inspired by an exact garden at Pompeii. The home was purchased and restored in 2009 and opened as a venue in 2012. Facilities and Capacity The Gardens is a stunning outdoor area for ceremonies and receptions. The Gardens feature a raised terrace that connects to the house, two turtle pond fountains, wisteria-covered pergolas, marble and sculptures of Greek philosophers.
