Facilities and Capacity
Deering Estate offers one main event space that accommodates up to 1,000 guests. The Grand Lawn is perfect for outdoor cocktail receptions and wedding ceremonies with its views of the glistening ocean. Our Spanish-Mediterranean style Stone House offers an intimate ceremony space in the historical and elegant ballroom, with black-and-white checkered floors and crystal chandeliers. Guests are allowed to stroll through the first and second floors of the Stone House with the unique Museum Experience. Enjoy dinner and dancing under the stars in the Courtyard.

Deering Estate is part of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, which manages the property on behalf of the State of Florida.
History
The Deering Estate was owned by Charles Deering, a Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairman of the International Harvester Company. The oldest existing buildings on the estate were built by the Richmond family and Deering, including a pioneer home for Richmond?s family that was later converted to a hotel and then winter home for Deering. Deering Estate is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Location
The Deering Estate is nestled along the coast in South Miami-Dade County within a few miles east of the Florida Turnpike and U.S. 1. Parking is available at the Visitor?s Center or along 72nd Avenue.
