Real Weddings

INSPIRATION

When we started dating and as a new couple, we spent our time getting to know each other while exploring and walking around Toronto. We wanted to incorporate elements of that into our theme. Red and gold were our colour inspirations and tied in multiple elements: red being Rishi’s favourite colour, matching his bold and energetic personality, as well as traditions and beliefs of happiness and joy associated with the colour. Sabrina’s father passed away early in our relationship, and red was his favourite colour – getting married in red felt natural!

SHE SAID

For me, the most memorable part of the day was right before our reception entrance. We were standing alone in the lobby, sneaking a peak into the hall watching the bridal party and our family enter… Seeing all of our loved ones in one one room, for a couple of minutes we got to quietly revel in the love we felt from the room and take in how our months of planning all came together in such a joyful event. We had an epic party – but I’m so happy we had those few quiet moments together.

HE SAID

The most memorable part of the wedding was seeing my new wife to be for the first time as she sat down next to me before we started the ceremony. It was such a surreal moment, that after all this time we were actually here. I was now about to marry the most amazing woman in the world and damn she looked beautiful!

TIPS & ADVICE

Remember that although it is a big day it is one day and most importantly it is the beginning of a journey together with your partner. So in your planning, think about what matters most to you as a couple and focus on getting those right. Trying to work every trend and fad can be exhausting and you may lose yourself in it all. And get yourself a wedding planner! And, don’t forget to enjoy it all…it goes by so quickly!
